DRAMA: So you think you can dance? So you think you can dance while you sing? So you think you can dance while you sing while you act? Join Taking Flights Productions for our spring musical, Urinetown. Prepare a 1-minute portion of a song from the musical, preferably as the character you're most interested in, and sign up for your audition spot with Ms. Gonzales is J122 when you return from winter break. Vocal auditions will take place in the PAC on Monday, Jan. 9 and dance auditions will be on Tuesday, Jan. 10. You must be available for after school rehearsals until show time, March 2 - 4. You've got time to prepare, so give it a try!
LOST & FOUND: We will be giving everything in the lost and found to a charity on Friday. Come down to activities and claim your lost items.
LITERARY MAGAZINE: The Lit mag is taking submissions for the 2017 edition. Submission forms are available from Mrs. Rizzardi or outside G201.Submissions will be accepted through January 13.
SENIORS: Please bring your Government or Economics book with you to school this week. They will be turned in after your finals to the bookroom.
COUNSELING:
If you are in need of credit recovery ECademy Spring Registration is open. Spring ECademy classes begin on January 4th so register early. The registration fee is $25, see your academy counselor to pay the registration fee and to enroll.
Any student taking an online course with eCademy may take their final exam here at Volcano Vista High School. Finals may be taken in your eCADEMY lab class or after school December 14 or December 15 in room A208. Final exams MUST BE STARTED BY 2:40 pm either day. Students needing a final exam after 2:40pm may take the exam at eCADEMY's main campus those days from 3-5pm. Please see Mr. Glaser in room A208 if you have any questions.
SENIORS: After December 17th the cost of cap and gowns will increase in price. If you have not ordered your cap & gown please go to Campus Specialties on Eubank and order it now!!!!
ATHLETICS:
STAFF FITNESS TODAY! Come burn those calories before the holiday feasts! Do something for yourself- reduce stress and 'join the workout party'. Zumba today after school, and with a special holiday surprise ;) ! See you there!
BASEBALL workouts will begin January 4th after school. You must have a physical to attend. Bring your tennis shoes, glove, hat, and a vomit bag.
