Per Santa Barbara Co. OES on Twitter:

Mandatory Evac order issued for Cebada Canyon, Gypsy Canyon and Tularosa Road. Residents in these areas should leave immediately #mesafire

Due to the direction of the #mesafire, the Mission Hills area is under an evacuation warning only at this time.

Approx. 1400 residents estimated to be impacted by this evacuation. @SBCFireInfo is referring to this fire as the Mesa Incident. #mesafire

#mesafire Evacuation Center being set up at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene (500 East North Avenue). It will be open around 4:15 pm.

This wildfire has exploded in heavy fuels north of Mission La Purisima which is also threatened. Mass evacuations via door-to-door and reverse 911 calls. 200 acres and growing in heavy drought-dessicated fuels.... resource orders ongoing.
