Costco has some 'kits' available for storing water - and other emergency fare..

We've gotten the 55 gallon drum with filter pump and various food options.
There are also a few of swimming pools in the neighborhood - those make good water supplies - we also have camping water filters.

This needs further research but seems good for emergency water disinfection use as, laundry bleach loses potency in as little as 3 months.
