Light initial activity within the GACC the past 24 hours.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 11,868 acres, 18% contained. Expected containment 10/1. Unified Command (Joseph/Jackson). Creeping and backing fire was observed today with some open flame in the heavier ground fuels. There was minimal fire spread today. Significant progress made towards completing hand line on the north and east portion fo the fire. Crews continue to work on contigency line on the southwest and southeast areas of the fire. Corral Complex resources performed initial attack on a 0.20 acre new start and successfully contained the fire. Contingency plans have been developed to mitigate potential impacts to Willow Creek due to a community event this weekend.

CA-TGU Deer Fire: 11,429 acres, 100% contained. The Deer Incident will be transitioned to the local unit at 0700 hours tomorrow.

CA-TNF American Fire: 26,817 acres, 99% contained. Expected containment 8/29 at 2000 hours. IMT 1 (Opliger). Crews reduced large pockets of interior isolated fuels with controlled firing operations today to continue to secure existing fire lines. Little to no observed fire behavior today. Mop up and patrol continues.

CA-SRF Butler Fire: 21,217 acres, 45% contained. Expected containment 9/15. IMT 2 (Johnson). NORCAL 2 (Johnson) assumed command of the fire at 1800 hours. Fire activity was limited to creeping and smoldering in heavy interior fuels. The fire continues slow progress toward indirect containment lines. All Divisions monitored fire behavior and continued mop up.

CA-KNF Salmon River Complex: 14,270 acres, 95% contained. Expected containment 8/30. IMT 2 (Johnson). NORCAL 2 (Johnson) assumed command of the fire at 1800 hours. Havy fuels in the interior continue to consume with some smoldering and creeping in lighter fules. The fire continues backing into Jackass Gulch. Mop up, patrol and suppression repair continues.
