Today's Weather Story from the the National Weather Service's Sacramento WFO forecasts that interior Northern California will experience a warming trend through this weekend, and the Reno WFO's Weather Story states that record highs might be possible. Fire Management personnel in the field should note that with the warmer temperatures, the Sacramento WFO's Weather Story advises that "Mountain snowmelt will increase under these unseasonably warm temperatures. Use caution around rivers and streams and expect cold water conditions." The NWS California-Nevada River Forecast Center has not issued any flooding impacts at this time; view their product at http://www.cnrfc.noaa.gov/flood_outlook.php for Regional updates or the http://www.cnrfc.noaa.gov/ homepage for individual forecast points.
