[californiadisasters] Diablo Wind Bulletin (10/23/11-PM)

ANOTHER OFFSHORE WIND EVENT IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP ON TUESDAY
NIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND GREAT
BASIN. NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP ON TUESDAY EVENING AND
INCREASE BY LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. BY LATE TUESDAY NIGHT NORTHERLY
WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 35 MPH
OVER EXPOSED RIDGES IN THE NORTH AND EAST BAY. AT THE SAME
TIME...A VERY DRY AIRMASS WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE REGION FROM THE
NORTH. RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ARE FORECAST TO DROP TUESDAY NIGHT
WITH VALUES LOWERING INTO THE TEENS BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. LOCALLY
GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL CONTINUE IN THE HILLS THROUGH
MIDDAY WEDNESDAY BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
THIS OFFSHORE WIND EVENT WILL BRING HEIGHTENED FIRE WEATHER
CONCERNS TO HIGHER ELEVATIONS ACROSS THE REGION...ESPECIALLY IN
THE NORTH AND EAST BAY HILLS. HOWEVER...IT IS STILL UNCERTAIN IF
THERE WILL BE A SUFFICIENTLY LONG DURATION OF CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS TO WARRANT A FIRE WEATHER WATCH.
