[californiadisasters] [EDIS] High Wind Warning - SoCal & Central Coast



THE HIGH WIND WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING. * TIMING: AREAS OF STRONG AND POTENTIALLY DAMAGING NORTHWEST TO NORTH WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH THIS EVENING. THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT LULL IN THE WINDS FROM MID MORNING TO MID AFTERNOON...BUT  WINDS WILL AGAIN INCREASE TO WARNING LEVELS BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON.  * WINDS: FOR NORTH TO NORTHEAST 30 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 65 MPH. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH AND BELOW THE PASSES AND CANYONS OF THE SANTA YNEZ RANGE. * IMPACTS: TRAVEL WILL BE AFFECTED THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY...ESPECIALLY ALONG HIGHWAY 154. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE. &&
