WINDY CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF SOUTHWEST  CALIFORNIA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING AND AGAIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING... .WINDY CONDITIONS WERE ALREADY OCCURRING IN THE ANTELOPE VALLEY AND THE MOUNTAINS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES EARLY THIS MORNING. ADVISORY LEVEL WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS SAN LUIS OBISPO AND SANTA BARBARA COUNTIES... COASTAL AND VALLEY AREAS OF VENTURA COUNTY...COASTAL SECTIONS OF  LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS THIS AFTERNOON. WHILE WINDS WILL LIKELY DIMINISH LATE THIS EVENING OR TONIGHT...STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. IN THE ANTELOPE VALLEY...WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TODAY... WITH DAMAGING GUSTS TO 60 MPH EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON. VERY STRONG WINDS TO DAMAGING WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE ANTELOPE VALLEY AT TIMES THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.  IN THE MOUNTAINS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES EXCLUDING THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS...THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...WHEN WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH ARE LIKELY THROUGH THE INTERSTATE 5 CORRIDOR. FINALLY...THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH IN THE SANTA YNEZ MOUNTAINS OF SANTA BARBARA COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT SOUTH COAST BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM PDT THIS EVENING...  ... HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM PDT FRIDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM PDT FRIDAY. A WIND ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM PDT THIS EVENING. THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE TODAY...THEN PEAK TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. * WINDS: SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH TODAY. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO NORTHWEST TO NORTH THIS EVENING AND INCREASE TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH. WINDS WILL CONTINUE AT THESE SPEEDS THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE 5 CORRIDOR...WHERE LOCAL GUSTS TO 70 MPH ARE EXPECTED.  * IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS WILL LIKELY IMPACT TRAVEL ON INTERSTATE 5 AND THE 14 FREEWAY. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...  A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE. &&
